On Sunday 27 August 2017, two public chess tables in Arnhem city center were officially taken into use. The chess tables placed in the city center of Arnhem were donated by the residents’ association of the city center: Arnhem6811. In addition to a chess table on the Johnny van Doornsquare, a chess table has been set up on the Yellow Ridersquare.
